Ah, the glamour of television…not!

I was struck by this again on Tuesday when HBO came to film “And Just Like That” in my neighborhood. 

The thing is, it’s never “and just like that.” Anyone who works in a creative field knows that there are countless, invisible, unglamorous steps before delivering the finished product…

I’ll never forget my days in public television, up until midnight labeling Beta tapes (that dates me!) on the front, spine etc. My boss looked up at me and said in a droll tone, “I don’t know about you, but I’m in it for the glamour!”

My gender hasn't been an impediment, it's been an asset.
